Mrs. Maud Watson, 77, wife of George Watson, died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Ellsworth, Aug. 3,  1873, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Mitchell.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Harold Estes of Brewer, two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Dube of Nashua N.H., and Mrs. Blanche Cunningham of Bar Harbor;  four brothers, Albert Mitchell of Bar Harbor, George Mitchell of Newark, N.J., John Mitchell of Trenton, Ralph Mitchell of Bar Harbor;  a sister, Mrs. Nellie Nason  of Burbank, Ca., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, at 3 p.m. at the F.E. Sherman Funeral Home with the Rev. Leopold Bamrosch rector, Church of Our Father, Hulls Cove, officiating.
