LeRoy Higgins, 88, road builder several years for John D. Rockefeller at Seal Harbor, died at his home in Rockland, Wednesday.
Mr. Higgins was born in Eden, the son of Wyatt and Clementine Keniston Higgins, and had lived in Rockland 14 years. He was a member of Knights of Pythias. His wife, Nellie Sleeper Higgins, survives.
Services were held in the Russell Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles A. Marstaller officiating. Internment was in Sea View Cemetery.
He married Nellie W. Sleeper 29 November 1920 at Thomaston Maine. Nellies parents were William N. Knowlton and Frances S. Worthley.
