Round Pond - Mrs. Edna B. Munro, 85, died Wednesday at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta, following a long illness. She was born at Long Pond Feb. 28, 1886, the daughter of Laforest and Mary Jones Geyer.
She attended local schools and was a member of the Union Church of Round Pond, the Fortnightly Club, the Bristol Footlighters and the Pemaquid Chapter, OES, and Pemaquid Chapter, DAR.
She is survived by her husband, Leon of Round Pond, three sons, Malcolm C. of Norwell, Mass., Ronald G. of Groton, Conn., and Carleton M. of Round Pond; a daughter, Mrs. L. Phyllis Chadwick of York; two sisters, Mrs. Nana Smith and Mrs. Gladys Bryant, both of Round Pond; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Strong Funeral Home, Damariscotta with the Rev. Oliver W. Bell and Rev. Desmond Parker officiating.
Burial will be in the Chamberlain Cemetery.
