Mrs. Linnie Anne Eddy, 87, widow of Roscoe A. Eddy, died Friday, July 18, at her home in Bar Harbor, after a long illness.
She was born in Corinth, Feb. 11, 1865, daughter of George J.and Helen Elizabeth (Roby) Fitz.
She was a member of the Clark Memorial Methodist Church, the former Ladies Aid and the WSCS, and a member of Unison Rebekah Lodge of Bar Harbor.
Mrs. Eddy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. David C. Rodick, of Bar Harbor, and Mrs. Walter F. Bird, of South Portland; a brother, Leslie W. Fitz, of East Corinth, Me.; two grandchildren, Mrs. William R. Horner, of Medway, Mass., and William F. Bird, of Waterville; two great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Lynward Ashton, pastor of the Clark Memorial Church officiating.
Bearers were Carl Whitaker, Francis C. Grindle, Chester Wescott and Theodore Williams.
