Edward R. Hamor Jr, 59, of Bar Harbor, died Tuesday at a local hospital after a short illness.
He was born here July 31, 1904, son of Edward and Annie (Mulligan) Hamor.
He was a member of the Church of Our Father at Hulls Cove.  He was a foreman of one of John D. Rockefeller's crews for nine years, retiring in 1961.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sylvia Hamor of Bar Harbor;  a son, Robert Edward of Ellsworth, two grandchildren and a nephew.
Funeral services were held today at McFarland Funeral Home, the Rev. Harold A. Hopkins, Jr. of St. Saviour's Episcopal Church officiating.
Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Hulls Cove.
