Augusta, Alfred E. Lizotte, 71, of 62 Washington St., died Saturday morning in Augusta General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Augusta June 1, 1900, the son of Paul and Amanda Lessard Lizotte.
Mr. Lizotte was a communicant of St. Augustin Catholic Church, a member of the sacred Heart League of the church, member of the Calumet Club and the Cushnoc Senior Citizen Club. He was self-employed all his life as a mason contractor, retiring six years ago.
He is survived by a son, Paul J. Lizotte of Manchester; a sister, Mrs. Emile Lausier of Augusta; four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A high requiem Mass will be sung this morning at 10;30 at St. Augustin Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery.
