Mrs. Esther B. Gott, 69, of Southwest Harbor, widow of Earll W. Gott, died Thursday at an Ellsworth Hospital after a short illness.
She was born at Levant Jan. 15, 1897, daughter of Frank and Josephine (Lane) Burnett.
She was a member of the Mt. Desert Congregational Church and Order of Eastern Star, both of Southwest Harbor.  She was a former superintendant of the Sunday School and was a former Postal clerk at the Southwest Harbor Post Office.
Surviving are a daughter;  Mrs. Irmia Gott of Southwest Harbor;  and Aunt, Mrs. Charles Gardner of Wrentham, Mass., three nieces, a grand-niece and a grand nephew.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Mount Desert Congregational Church, here, the Rev. Bradford Payne officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Heigth Cemetery.
