Litchfield - Mrs. Adelia N. Berry, 87, died Monday at a Gardiner nursing home following a long illness.  She was born August 28, 1880, in West Gardiner, the daughter of Joseph and Adelia Newton Stevens.  She was educated in West Gardiner and graduated from Kents Hill School.  She taught school in Dresden and Litchfield.  She married Frank Berry in 1902.  He died in 1953.
Mrs. Berry was a member of the Wayside Chapal, Litchfield.
Survivors are two sons;  Clarence and Kenneth, both of Litchfield, eight grandchildren, 28 great grand children and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Plains Baptist Church, Litchfield.  Burial will be at the Plains Cemetery.
