Skowhegan - Mrs. Aurie E. Holmes, 75, died at a local nursing home here Daturday morning. She was born in Waterville, August 14, 1890, the daughter of Dennis and Mina Green Goodrich.
The widow of Stillman Holmes, she has been a Skowhegan resident since 1921.
She was a retired practical nurse; a 44 year member of the Mot Bethany Baptist Church, a member of the Fairfield Center, state and national Pomona; the Peters Shortier American Legion Auxillary, and the Priscilla Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors are a son, Donald Storr, Augusta; a sister, Mrs. Amber Julia, Vassalboro; three grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today at 10 a.m. at 261 Madison Ave., with the Rev. Kenneth McCowan pastor of the Bethany Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterville.
