SPURLING - EMMA FRANCES 'BULGER' - Cranberry Isles, 1934

EMMA  FRANCES  SPURLING  'BULGER'

Bar Harbor Times
Feb. 28,  1934

Emma Frances Spurling - The many friends of Mrs. Charles Spurling og Cranberry Isles were greatly shocked and saddened at the news of her dath which occurred suddenly Thursday afternoon at Calais where she was making a visit with relatives and planning to return to her daughter's home here for a few days.  She was a woman of the finest qualities, a wide reader, a talented writer, an active member of the Cranberry Island Women's Club and she had a wide circle of devoted friends.  The deepest sympathy is extended to her only daughter, Mrs. Mary Spurling Birlem of this village.  She leaves also five grandchildren.
