Funeral services for Milton A. Gooch, who died after a brief illness at the Bar Harbor Hospital on Thursday evening, were held on Saturday afternoon from the late home on Glen Mary Road.  Mr Gooch's age was 56 years, ten months and seven days.  He was a carpenter by trade and came here from East Machias eight years ago.  He was a son of the late John B. and Lucinda Elanore Gooch, his father being a native of Jacksonville, who survives him, as do his children;  Mrs. Percy Cook of Bar Harbor, Mrs. Edgar Geel of Jacksonville, Misses Dorothy and Josephine Gooch and Carroll and Holland Gooch of Bar Harbor;  by three brothers, Alvah of Jacksonville, Albert of Boston and George of Waterville.
Mr. Gooch was a man who was liked and respected by employees and fellow workmen and he will be sincerely mourned while his family has the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
At the funeral services there was a large attendance and many beautiful flowers.  Rev. W.ZH. Cass, Pastor of the Clarke Memorial M.E. Church, where the family attended service, officiated.  The burial was in Ledgelawn Cemetery.
