Fayette - Harold Merrill, 74, of Fayette, died Thursday morning at Togus Veterans Hospital following a long illness.
He was born November 5, 1891 in Hartford, Maine, son of Frank and Nellie Stetson Merrill.
He was a veteran of WWI and a farmer and lumberman.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Dora) Jackman, one son, Frank Merrill, both of Fayette, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1;30 p.m. from the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Livermore Falls, with the Rev. Robert Gridley officiating.
Burial will be at the Norcroff Cemetery in Chesterville.
