Mr. Alvin C. Martin died Jan. 15, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John P. Walker, at the age of 73 years. During his residence in this place he has made many friends by his kind and agreeable manner. He leaves a widow, three sons; George and Orlando of Clinton, Mass., Charles of Waltham, Me., and a daughter, Mrs. John P. Walker of this place.
Records show Alvin C. Martin was married twice, first marriage to Lucy N. Tobey - June 8, 1845.
They had three children, Charles Edwin Martin, Orlando Lewis Martin, and George Alvin Martin.
Second marriage - Anna Rebecca Fullerton, who often went by Rebecca. They had a dfaughter, Anna O. Martin, who married John P. Walker.
Alvin's parents were Jesse Martin and Mary ?.
