Benjamin Monroe Britt, 20, died Dec. 12, 2009, in Trenton. He was born Oct. 16, 1989, in Bar Harbor, the son of Brenda (Parsons) Britt and Dorsey M. Britt Jr. Ben graduated from Connors and Emerson schools and also from Mount Desert Island High School in 2008, with plans to further his education.
Ben is survived by his father, Dorsey M. Britt Jr.; his mother, Brenda (Parsons) Britt and partner, Tracey Landry, all of Bar Harbor; paternal grandfather, Dorsey M. Britt Sr. and companion, Kay Robinson, of Havelock, N.C.; extended grandparents, James and Dawn Landry and their son, Andrew, all of Frankfort; uncles, Donnie Parsons and partner, Kim Hamblen, Frank Britt and David Britt, both of New Jersey; aunts, Debbie Parsons and partner, Timothy Tripp, of Bar Harbor, and Mary Britt of South Carolina; special cousins, Makayla, Marcus, Race and Marina Parsons, and Travis Tripp and wife, Marianne and their son, Preston; and a special friend, Kelsey Erickson.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Gary and Mary Parsons; and uncle, Mark Parsons.
Spring interment will be at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor. (Bangor Daily News 12/15/2009)
