Biddeford Journal Obit for Nelson Norwood
Nelson Norwood of Camp Ellis, a former resident of this city and Saco, was born in Biddeford on November 6, 1869. He died early this morning at local hospital, at the age of 74 years and two months.
He was born in this city, the son of Albert and Mary (Mitchell) Norwood.
His home for most of his lift was at 579 Pool Road, a part of the original Norwood homestead. His occupation was a fisherman.
He attended the First Parish church of Saco.
Nelson Norwood leaves three sons, Frank L. of Rochester,N.H., Nelson E., of Saco, and Ralph G., of Boston; a daughter, Mrs. Estelle A. Emerson of Saco; a sister, Mrs. Mary Callahan of this city, and a brother, James Norwood of Fortunes Rocks; also 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco, with his wife who predeceased him in 1928.
