DOW - CARL IRVING - Dixmont
Spencer Ma. and Dixmont Carl I Dow 85 died Feb. 16, 2004 at a Worcester Ma. health care facility following a long illness. He was born in Mt. Chase, Me. April 24, 1918 the son of George A. and Marion (Lynds) Dow. Carl was educated in Newport schools. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WW II. He was married to Barbara Bates who died Aug. 6, 2003. For over 30 years Carl was employed as a custodian at Quaboag Regional High School in Warren Ma. He was a member of the Spencer Ma. American Legion.
He is survived by his son and his wife Elliott and Dorothy Dow of Cambridge, a step daughter Irene Loguercio of Pleasantville N.Y., one brother Lawrence Dow of Buxton, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by two sons George and Roy also seven brothers and threes sisters; Angus, Hilton, Douglas, Milford, Lewis, Roger, Roscoe, Lena, Inez, and Ella.
Spring burial will be in the Sawyer Cemetery Plymouth. (Brown Funeral Home on-line)
