WOODBURY - WILLIAM 'BILL' - Fairfield



1932-2014


FAIRFIELD - William "Bill" Woodbury Sr., 81, died Feb. 6, 2014, at his home in Fairfield. He was born March 11, 1932, in Brooks, the son of Albert and Edith (Towers) Woodbury. He graduated from Bessy High School class of 1950. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War.


On April 17, 2005, he married Margaret Libby at their home in Benton. He was an active member of the Mason's Lodge in Unity. Bill worked for Keyes Fiber for 23 years, retiring in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Libby) Woodbury; his sons, Willie and his companion, Patricia Labbe, from Waterville, Paul and his wife, Mary, of Burnham, and Albert, of Benton; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kane-Michael, Emily, Heidi, Nicole and Jennifer; his great-grandchildren, Hunter McCasland, Jennalee Woodbury, Kaleigh Clemons, Brody Pouler, Zachary and Jade Reid; his sister, Thelma Towers; and a brother, Ernie Woodbury; and two aunts, Marian Condon, of Belfast, and Phillis Plourd, of Lewiston. He will also be missed by his stepchildren and step-grandchildren.


Bill was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Albert Jr. and Clayton Woodbury; his granddaughter, Daniel; and a niece, Sharon Shores; his first wife, Caroline (Goodblood) Woodbury, and their son, Andrew; and his second wife, Barbara (Reynolds) Woodbury. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Togus VA and MaineGeneral Home Care. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, Bill would like everyone to make a donation to a charity of their choice. Arrangements under the care and direction of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.
