William W. Manchester, 84, of Northeast Harbor died suddenly Saturday at Boston.

Mr. Manchester was born Jan. 21, 1875, the son of Danfourth and Evelyn Higgins Manchester.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elsie (Brush) Manchester of Northeast Harbor, a son, Danforth of Brookline, Mass, A syepson, Morris, of Davenport, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Esdmond Sentcliffe of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Wirth Howell of Lakewood, Ohio, Mrs. George Watson of Brewer and Mrs. Stephen Hanson of Warren; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Fernaid Funeral Home at Mount Desert, the Rev. George Macdonald of Mount Desert Larger Parish officiating.

Bearers were Howard and David Graves, Edwin Tracey Jr., and Lawrence Seavey.

Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Northeast Harbor.
