TRACY - ARLENE R. - Newport

NEWPORT – Arlene R. Tracy, 79, died unexpectedly November 7, 2000 at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 18, 1921 at Avondale, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Norville and Sarah (Bell) Briggs. She attended schools in Canada, Littleton, and the Ricker Classical Institute. She was a member of Nokomis Chapter # 42 OES of Newport.


She was predeceased by her husband Merle I. Tracy, in 1979, and four brothers Wilfred, Frederick, Ronald and Forrest Briggs. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Elayne Briggs; four sons, Michael, Theron, Owen, and James; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


At her request, no funeral services will be held. A graveside ceremony for family will be held 1 P.M. Friday at the Littleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pine Tree Camp for Crippled Children, c/o Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 64 Main Street, Newport, ME 04953.
