LIBBY - FRANCES F. "FLYNN" - Machiasport

Machias - Frances F. Libby, 93, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Downeast Community Hospital in Machias. Frances was born January 5, 1922, in Machiasport, Maine to Hammond and Lucy Flynn.




She was predeceased by her husband, Willard Libby, in 1994. Frances was an active member of the Larrabee Baptist Church for 37 years and especially looked forward to "eating Sunday." She was also a member of the Eastern Star, until recently the long time treasurer of the Church Hill Cemetery Association, and enjoyed working the polls in Machiasport, which she did until June of this year.




Frances is survived by her daughters, Lois A. and Sally A. of Machiasport, and a step-son, Bill Libby and his wife Nedra, of California. She will be greatly missed by friends, Tina Davis, Robert and Jeanne Davis, Pastor Bill and Judy Holmes, as well as all the members of the Larrabee Baptist Church.




A grave side service will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 1 p.m. at the Church Hill Cemetery in Machiasport with a gathering of the Larrabee Baptist Church immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Machias Ambulance Service, PO Box 418, Machias Maine 04654 or Larrabee Baptist Church c/o Bettina Davis, PO Box 155, Machias Maine 04654 in her memory. Many thanks to the staff ot Marshall Healthcare and Downeast Community Hospital for the exceptional care they gave Frances in the last months of her life.
