GUILFORD- Earling D. "Zeke" Hersey, 73, died December 7, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born March 9, 1936 in Parkman, son of Sterling and Iola (Perkins) Hersey Sr. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. Earling enjoyed the children and was a great grandfather. He enjoyed spending the last couple of years of his life at Dexter Health Care, where his favorite past time was playing Bingo.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn (Dow) Hersey of Guilford; 3 children, Denise Hamilton and her husband, Dean of Gray, Alyce Leiann Page of Guilford, David L. Foster of Guilford; 3 brothers, his twin, Sterling Hersey and his wife, Normie of Blanchard, Johnny Hersey of Bangor, and Berry Hersey of Bradford; 4 sisters, Betty Adams and her husband, Alvin of Abbot, Nora Hersey of Sebec, Mary Ann Bubier of Bradford, Betty Walker of Bingham; 14 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel Hersey, and a stepson, Curt Foster.
There will be no services at this time. Spring burial will be in the Lee Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft.
