GARLAND – Shawn Wayne Curtis, 25, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2002 in a swimming accident. He was a graduate of Gorham High School, Class of 1995 and served in the U.S. Army. At the time of his death, he worked at the Dexter Shoe Factory Outlet in Dexter.
He is survived by 2 children, Corey and Savannah Wilcox of Portland, his mother Terry (Cookson) Mackie of Garland; a sister Diana Mackie of Garland; a brother, James Curtis, Jr. of Clermont, Florida; his step-father, William Mackie of Portland; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Norman Cookson of Dexter and Mr. and Mrs. Warner Strout of Levant; and many cousins.
Friends may call 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Thursday, August 22nd, with his uncle, Pastor Lyman Curtis, and Pastor Ralph Bedard officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery (Brann’s Mills), Dover-Foxcroft.
