Thomas - Orra Francis - Salisbury Cove

Mrs. Edward P. Thomas

Salisbury Cove, June 16 - The death of Mrs. Edward P. Thomas, 66, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enos Hadley, occurred suddenly Tuesday morning.  Although in ill health for several years her death was a shock to the whole island.
Mrs. Thomas was a kind and loving wife and mother, and a member of the Trenton Grange for several years.  She leaves a host of friends who will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Edward P. Thomas, five daughters;  Mrs. Geneva Bushway of Cumberland, Maine, Mrs. Blanche Hethcoat, Bar Harbor;  Mrs. Lenore Puffer, Town Hill, Mrs. Ethel Flood of Cambridge, Mass., Mrs. Florence Leland of Trenton;  two sons;  Mr. Frederick Thomas of Bath, and Edward Thomas Jr.,  one sister, Mrs. Rita Smallidge, one nephew, and nineteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Union Church at Town Hill, Rev. Richard Smith officiating.  Internment will be at the Town Hill Cemetery.
