Mr. F. D. Young, of Webster City, Iowa, formerly of Eden, was in town last week in attendance upon the funeral of his father, Elvin Young, who died Oct. 18, at his home near the Eagle Lake Road.  Mr. Young was the guest for a few days of Mr. Edward Parker and while he was there he was busy calling upon old acquaintances.  He left for the West Friday.
Elvin Young, a well known and aged resident of Eden, died at his home on Eagle lake Road on Friday, Oct. 18, after a year's illness, in the 88th year of his age.  The funeral was held on the Monday following from his late home, Rev. Mr. White of the Baptist Church of Bar Harbor, officiateing.  Interment was made in the burying ground, in Young's district, where the relatives of the deceased lie buried.
