Miss Melvina L. Cowing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo D. Cowing, died Wednesday, March 23,  of typhiod poenmonia, age 17 years.  Funeral services were held at the house Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock..  Rev. Charles H. Cutler of Bangor, officiated, and H.O. Burnill and S.P. Webber sang several appropriate selections.  She leaves, besides her parents, three sisters and two brothers to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate daughter and sister.  She will be greatly missed in the home circle - and where, with her ready hands and willing heart she was ever striving to help those around her.  Much sympathy is felt for the sorrowing family.  The funeral was directed by G.P. Goodwin.  The bearers were Leonard Black, Grover Towne, Alverta Gray and Winnie Maynard.  The internment was in Central Cemetery.
